The Walker Power Building is a four storey historic building located at 325 Devonshire road in the former town of Walkerville. The building is being redeveloped into a commercial building offering space for lease. The building has a total floor area of 60,000 square feet. The ground floor will generally have retail and food service type tenants while the upper floors will be leased to businesses that carryout professional services. The classic early 20th century industrial architecture of the building will generally be maintained although the building will have some modern and contemporary features to add to the appeal. The existing clay brick will be removed, reclaimed and reused as a heritage feature. It is our intent to fully reconstruct the building using current construction practices and technologies so that the building will be energy efficient and modern beyond current building code requirements and industry standards.
